Bars in Glencoe

Clachaig's bars are famous - some would say legendary, and an evening spent soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the range of ales is an essential part of any trip to Glencoe.

A reminder of where you are sits above the servery!Clachaig has 3 bars in total, each with its own distinctive and lively character. Real ales, malt whisky and good food and fresh coffee are served in all our bars - choose the atmosphere that suits you best.

The Boots Bar

Unique is the word that comes to mind. The huge dusty real fire set amidst log piles and rough slates on the floor provide an indication of what to expect. An old tree trunk which seems to be part of the structure and a huge bar top set on a long row of Enjoying the craic in the pub by the fire.barrels give a few further clues. You'll often find the Boots Bar full of hillwalkers, skiers, kayakers and climbers, chatting about their day out just passed, and enthusiastically planning their next.

Chances are, you'll also notice the long line of hand pulls on the bar top, or the top shelf of whisky bottles disappearing into the distance. Our range of cask conditioned ales and our unrivaled selection of malts prove popular with all our guests!

With regular live music and an ever changing clientele, the atmosphere is laid back - often lively, and always friendly.

Whisky barrels prop up the Boots BarThe Snug

Originally the beer cellar, this cosy bar now provides a quiet annex to the Boots Bar. Slate floors, pine paneling and an old range set the rustic tone.

When busy, the atmosphere of the neighbouring Boots Bar spills over but is toned down, and this bar proves popular with larger groups who want to catch up after the events of the day.

Relax in the Bidean Lounge at Clachaig Inn.The Bidean Lounge

Grab one of our complimentary daily newspapers or outdoor magazines and take a seat on one of the comfy Chesterfield sofas and relax.

The informal atmosphere is an ideal location in which to contemplate the view of the mighty West Face of Aonach Dubh through the window. To add to the mountain theme, original signed photographs from the likes of Sir Chris Bonington and Doug Scott OBE hang on the walls, along with the first all metal ice axes made by our near neighbour, Hamish MacInnes OBE.

Children are welcome in the Bidean Lounge, and our disabled toilet with full baby changing facilities is close by. We've also provided a few toys to help keep busy children amused.

Award Winning Bars
Our bars are open throughout the day, year round, from 11am until 11pm (slightly later at weekends).

They are a great place to meet up, enjoy a meal, have a coffee, catch up with the craic, sample some real Scottish produce, dance to the music, chill out and relax and..., well, so much more. No wonder then, they've been the focus of so many awards!

Clachaig also offers a free Broadband Wireless Network, available in our bar areas.
